Originally licensed as a sales associate in 1967 and as
a broker in 1970. He has spent the entire time in
residential real estate brokerage as an owner of his
own company, a multi-office manager for a national
company, a trainer, a recruiter, a coach and a sales
associate. He has been active in the local Board of
Realtors, serving on every committee with an emphasis on
Professional Standards and Grievance for the past 20
years; he is a Past President, Realtor of the Year
in 1990, Community Service Awards and President's
Award recipient. He has also served on committees
of the Maryland Association of Realtors and the
National Association of Realtors. Vernon has been an
active participant in many local organizations and
is currently President of the St. Johns Foundation.
