About Doug Firth

Doug is a native of Talbot County, Maryland, and has lived and worked on the Eastern Shore for most of his life. He has been a licensed Realtor for the past 40 years. Before joining Benson and Mangold Real Estate, he was Broker/Owner of the real estate firm of Fountain, Firth & Holt Realty, Inc. in Easton. He is a managing partner of DFMS Farms, a family owned real estate and farming business in Trappe.

Doug is a past member of the Easton Jaycees and a past Commodore of both the Tred Avon Yacht Club and Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club. He is active in cruising and racing sailboats on the Bay as well as offshore. He has competed in 8 Newport-Bermuda races and 7 Annapolis Newport races. He recently retired from the Qlarant Foundation Board and previously served on the IVT and the Healthy Integrity boards over the past 7 years. Qlarant, located in Easton, is one of Talbot Counties largest non-profit organizations dealing in Medicare Fraud and Waste abuse. Doug is also active in local conservation and Save the Bay efforts.
